Today we're officially 3 years old.
I don't want to bore you with a long text today (you already got one for the non-official birthday) but instead I just want to take this opportunity to thank you all for making NeoBux what it is today.
As with every birthday, plans for changes are drafted for the next year. On this 4th year we'll be changing to not only a more profitable service for our users but also continuing to give our advertisers the best quality and affordable service they can find.
We're also going to slowly change the way users interact with us and, not only that, but also to let our users earn even more without having to spend a single cent. This is unheard of in this industry but that's what makes us special and unique.
Every change will be properly announced and we'll try not to give you all at the same time so that you can fully understand and enjoy the changes.
Stay tuned and thank you once more for all the love, the professionalism, and dedication you've given us. You know that NeoBux is on a class of its own but never forget that you are part of all the wonderful people that made us what we are today. You're special and we love you.

As request by many of our users, we're introducing our official Browser Toolbar. Although it was never intended to be introduced, you've asked for it.
You can install it
here or by clicking the "Toolbar" link at the bottom of any page.
The Toolbar is powered by Conduit which have shown clear signs of stability and safety for their toolbars which is for us the usual concern.
Compatibility
The Toolbar is compatible with Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
It currently has installers for Safari (OS X only), Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome (still in beta).
Methodology
The Toolbar will allow you to get up date information about your account. It has been designed to be as simple as possible and to give you information about the most important areas of your account. This way you can navigate to other sites never missing an advertisement notification and always keeping an eye on your balance(s).
Advertisement indicators
Just as in your NeoBux page, you'll be able to see the amount of new advertisements you have to see so that you won't miss a single one.
The information will be displayed in the same format as you see at NeoBux.
Clicking the advertisement indicators will open the "View Advertisements" page in a new window/tab.
Balance(s)
You'll have your Main Balance and your Rental Balance (Golden members only) right in the toolbar.
Clicking the balance(s) will open your account's summary page in a new window/tab.
Global
You'll have access to the most common NeoBux links in the drop-down menu next to the NeoBux logo.
You'll also be able to search the NeoBux Forum by entering a search text in the search field and selecting the "NeoBux Forum" option in the drop-down menu next to the search field.
Applications
The Toolbar will give you access to thousands of applications that you can install right in the Toolbar for fast and convenient access. These application range from games, to social networks integration, amongst many other categories. We're pretty sure you'll find applications you'll love.
To be as much unobtrusive as possible, you'll get a clean Toolbar since we don't want to choose the applications for you.
Notifications
By installing the Toolbar you'll get instant (or as soon as you open your browser) notifications when we send them to all users. This way you'll get the latest news and important messages faster than anyone else.
Update period
The Toolbar's account information will update every few seconds and the update period can be different depending on our servers' usage at the time.
Known issues
So far, and after tests made on several OS and browsers, no issue has been discovered.
In any case, keep in mind that this is a beta implementation for testing purposes. New features can be added to the toolbar (update is automatic) as time goes by.
If you see any issue, please report it here.

NeoPoints turned out to be more special than anticipated.
In just the first 30 days we had roughly 11% of our users averaging 70 to 102 NeoPoints per day while 68% averaged 30 from 69 NeoPoints per day.
It has been a complete success!
Now it's time for the first phase of turning those NeoPoints into something.
We'll begin with just 3 simple but essential conversions:
Rental Balance
Now you can convert your NeoPoints to funds in your Rental Balance.
The amount of funds you'll get will depend on the amount of NeoPoints you'll convert. The more you'll convert, the more funds you'll get in proportion.
The Rental Balance funding using NeoPoints was a very sensitive and delicate area which had to be carefully balanced. The only problem of converting NeoPoints to Rental Balance funds was the obvious referral availability so the conversion ratio had to ensure that (theoretically) we would still have referrals available for everyone. A sweet stop has been defined and, again theoretically, it won't disrupt the availability of referrals since now we're getting more users per day (last month's average).
You can convert the following NeoPoints:
250 NeoPoints = $0.10
500 NeoPoints = $0.25
1000 NeoPoints = $0.60
2500 NeoPoints = $1.75
5000 NeoPoints = $4.00
10000 NeoPoints = $9.00
20000 NeoPoints = $20.00
40000 NeoPoints = $44.00
The conversion is fixed meaning that the minimum you can convert is 250 NeoPoints and the maximum is 40000 NeoPoints.
Direct Referrals Limit
One request I've been having a lot since the last chances is, due to now being simpler to get new Direct Referrals, is to increase the already high Direct Referrals limit.
Now you can simply do that with NeoPoints.
500 NeoPoints = Increase the limit by 1 direct referral
This is a fixed limit meaning that if you change your membership and/or Golden Pack, you'll have this fixed amount added to your membership's/Pack's pre-defined limit.
If you have 500 or more NeoPoints you'll see a "+" button next to the total of direct referrals in your direct referrals listing page. Click it and confirm to increase the limit by 1 referral.
Golden Membership
What about purchasing a Golden Membership simply by using NeoPoints? That's easy!
30000 NeoPoints = 1 year Golden Membership
You'll see the option if you have 30000 or more NeoPoints.
Thoughts
This is the beggining of having our services for free using NeoPoints.
Obviously new services and features that can obtained using NeoPoints will be added gradually. Not only that, but new ways to get NeoPoints will be introduced.

As promised, here's a feature that will certainly make advertisement visualization much more comfortable for you.
There's now a period in which the advertisement has to load or else the progress bar will start.
Some advertisements take too long to load which many times is caused by a simple image taking longer or something else causing the page to not fully load.
When we only had a few advertisements per day it was something that didn't cause much trouble but, given the amount we have now, it can become tremendously frustrating.
The change that was made is that now, if the advertisement doesn't load in 10 seconds, the progress bar will start regardless of the page completion.
10 seconds is a perfect time for both the user and the advertiser and it will benefit both since the user will see the advertisement with satisfaction thus contributing to a better interaction with the advertised website.
Please do report anything strange you may encounter.
